The living room has an additional sleeping area on the sofa (1.5 x 2) and another super comfortable air mattress. Within a 30-40 minute drive, you can reach the Statue of Jesus Christ in the town of Maratea, the ancient archaeological site of Papasidero, and the thermal springs. If you venture a little further, you can visit the famous Pompeii, Naples, Amalfi, and Capri. A day trip to the port city of Bari to touch the relics of St. Nicholas is particularly popular. Skiers can hit the slopes of the Sila ski area, just an hour and a half from your vacation rental in Scalea. Sicily is also just a stone's throw away: the beaches of Scalea, Diamante, and Praia a Mare. You can also visit the Polino National Park.
